Malaysia / The Datai Langkawi

A bewitching welcome awaits you at The Datai – one of the premier resorts on this magical isle, which is swathed in legends of romance and mystery.

Get close to nature as you tread footpaths through centuries-old rainforest or head for a white sand beach by the shimmering Andaman Sea. Perfection is all around and begins in your chosen accommodation – a Suite with an expansive private balcony, elegant villas within the lush tropical rainforest, or the contemporary Beach Villas with generously sized private pools and dedicated butlers.

Here, the cuisine is as beguiling as the setting, with fine dining French Fusion fare served at The Dining Room and authentic Thai cuisine at The Pavilion. Located in the heart of the rainforest, the award-winning Gulai House serves traditional Malaysian cuisine in an open air setting, while the Beach Club and Bar serves up cocktails and delectable seafood. At The Datai Spa a host of relaxing treatments await, combining the spirit and ancient healing traditions of the East with the mysticism of Langkawi’s ancient rainforests.

Recreational facilities include the award-winning Els Club Teluk Datai golf course, recently redesigned by four-time major champion Ernie Els and his design team, alongside two swimming pools, an array of non-motorised watersports and nature walks with the resident naturalist - children's nature walks can also be arranged by request.
