News / Four ways to experience the Caribbean...

From villa living and private islands to island hopping and cruising the atolls; we highlight four different ways to experience the Caribbean.

1. Villa Living

Step into your own private enclave away from the world and its routines. Villa living spells freedom of the most intimate and luxurious kind, where privacy is paramount and service discreet. This is where family and friends can socialise and relax together, no-one to disturb, no-one to impose upon your day, children free to play as they please and everyone's tastes catered for perfectly by experienced housekeepers, cooks and butlers.

2. Island Hopping

The Caribbean is custom made for a two-centre escape, facilitated by frequent interisland flights. Combine one of the larger jet-set islands with a scented smaller isle where hidden coves and wild terrain beckon… an option that many of our honeymooning couples find enticing.

Our favourite combinations include Barbados and the Grenadines - the hip resorts and modern skyline of the former contrasting with the isolation of destinations such as Petit St Vincent, Bequia and Mustique, or mix a stay on ever-popular Antigua with a sail around the British Virgin Islands. The gourmet dining and designer shopping which make chic St Barths a favourite go together perfectly with the paradisiacal white sand beaches of Anguilla, and the choices go on.

3. Caribbean Cruising

The enchanting atolls and archipelagos that make up the Grenadines and the British Virgin Islands are perfect for winter cruising. Feel the wind in the sails of a fully-crewed yacht or sunbathe on the deck of a sleek catamaran as it glides through the clear blue waters.

Experienced crews will customise itineraries giving you the freedom to plan your days, dropping anchor at will and swimming ashore to feast on a picnic of fresh seafood on a pristine beach only accessible by boat. Alternatively, sail through the islands in style on board a Silversea or Regent Seven Seas cruise liner or an exclusive SeaDream megayacht.

4. Private Islands

Whilst many of our Caribbean properties offer elevated levels of privacy and seclusion, there is nothing that quite compares with the pleasure of having an entire island to oneself. The freedom to explore beaches and pathways reserved exclusively for you, your children and your guests.

Our portfolio features some of the Caribbean's most sought-after pieces of paradise, from Sir Richard Branson's iconic Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands to Little Whale Cay in the Bahamas, Calivigny Island just off Grenada and even Petit St Vincent in the Grenadines. Naturally, your chosen destination will boast a full complement of staff to attend to your every need from preparing first class cuisine and mixing your preferred cocktails to designing your personal spa rituals or fitness programmes.
