K2 Palace is a dramatic hotel and chalet concept and the sister of K2 Altitude. Perched on the Cospillot slope, and with ski-in, ski-out access to the Cospillot piste, it forms its own little hamlet. The main building houses 30 generously sized and luxuriously appointed rooms complete with iPad, iPod docking station and PlayStation 3 available upon request. Families will appreciate the sumptuous chalets featuring five to seven bedrooms, lounge with home cinema, swimming pool, hammam and hot tub; service comes courtesy of a personal cook, butler and maid. At the two Michelin-starred Kintessence restaurant, cuisine is overseen by chef Jean-Rémi Caillon, while Black Pyramid serves breakfast and dinner. Sakara, meaning 'fragment of sugar', is the pioneering new gastronomic restaurant serving exclusively sweet treats under the artistic supervision of Sébastien Vauxion, the chief pastry chef. The serene Goji spa with swimming pool specialises in treatments by Valmont and the Shu Uemura hairdressing salon features Chromatherapy. The Kbaret night club converts into a cinema and there is a children’s club and teen playroom featuring racing car arcade games as well as an interactive dance floor.
